BettyAnn has been serving as Mayor
since 1991. She was also on borough council for 9 years
before that. She is a life member of the Magnolia Ambulance
Corps where she has held numerous positions. You can find
BettyAnn volunteering at our community center on Thursday
nights with the open gym night or organizing the Miss
Magnolia Pageant.
BettyAnn
is involved in organizations outside of Magnolia. She is a
member of Stratford United Methodist Church and she sits on
the Board of Directors for the Camden County YWCA. In
January of 2010, BettyAnn was appointed by the New Jersey
Legislature to sit on the council for the Governor’s Council
on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, where she now chairs the
planning committee. BettyAnn is past president of the Camden
County Mayor’s Association and also sits on the Board of
Directors for the New Jersey Conference of Mayors.
BettyAnn has received numerous
awards, some of which are the Betsy Davis Award from the
Girl Scouts of Camden County and was honored as one of the
Women of Outstanding Achievement. The Courier Post honored
her as one of the six outstanding women in Camden County.
BettyAnn received a Life Saving Proclamation from the Camden
County Freeholders in 2000 and was elected as a member of
the Mayors Hall of Fame with the New Jersey League of
Municipalities. BettyAnn has also received the Camden County
Freedom Medal in 2005. In March of 2009, she was honored by
the New Jersey Legislature.
BettyAnn
currently works fulltime for the Camden County Department of
Health and Human Services, in the Division of Community
Health Services where she is the Municipal Alliance
Coordinator. BettyAnn is involved in all health services
that the County offers from flu shots to the Camden County
Women’s Health Conference. She has also been chosen as
employee of the quarter.
BettyAnn
grew up in Magnolia and attended Magnolia Public School,
Sterling High School and also Camden County College. She is
married to Robert (Brian) who is involved with the Magnolia
Fire Company, the Sons of the American Legion, Stratford
United Methodist Church, and Sterling High School Football
Boosters. They have two daughters, Melissa and Karin, and a
son Brian.
